Pros & Cons
Placeit
- Genuinely massive template library (85,000+) spanning many marketing asset types
- Unlimited plan provides genuinely unlimited downloads for one flat monthly rate
- Annual billing rate ($7.47/month) offers substantial savings over the no-commitment option
- Free tier exports carry watermarks, limiting use to evaluation rather than production
- No-commitment monthly billing ($14.95/month) costs roughly double the annual rate
- Template-based creation may feel less customizable than fully bespoke design tools for some use cases
Autodraw
- Extremely fast and simple for basic icon-style visuals
- Completely free with no signup required
- No drawing skill needed at all
- Limited to simple icon-style shapes, not real illustration or complex scenes
- Not a substitute for a full image generator or design tool
- Hasn’t evolved much beyond its original narrow scope
