Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains what information AI Listing Jungle (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit ailistingjungle.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. You do not need an account to browse, search or read anything on the site. Accounts exist only for tool owners (see For Owners) and our administrators. We do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

If you just browse

• Usage analytics. On public pages we use third-party analytics tools to see which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are (city/country level, derived from IP address), device and browser type, and where they came from. The data is aggregated and we do not use it to identify you. Analytics is switched off on this page, the About and Contact pages, sign-in pages and account areas.
• Tool page counters. When you open a tool page or click through to its website, we add one to a daily counter for that tool, shown to the tool’s owner on paid plans. The counter stores no identifier and nothing about you. Your IP address is used only briefly in server memory to avoid counting repeat hits, and is not saved.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (IP address, requested page, browser, time) for security and reliability.

If you vote on a tool

Liking or loving a tool needs no account. Your first vote sets a random ID in a cookie. We store a one-way hash of that ID and a one-way hash of your IP address with the vote. The ID hash makes sure you have one vote per tool; the IP hash limits how many different people can vote on one tool from the same network per day, to prevent abuse. We cannot read your IP address or cookie ID back from the hashes. Remove a vote and the stored record is deleted.

If you have an owner account

Creating an owner account and using the owner programme means we handle:

• Account details — your name, work email and password. Passwords are stored as hashes by our authentication provider; we never see or store them in plain text.
• Listing and verification data — the tools you claim or submit (name, website, category, description, logo), your verification method and any notes or evidence you provide, our review decision, and your edit history.
• Content you write — article drafts and published owner articles, which become public once approved.
• Plan and billing data — payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. We never receive or store your card number. We keep your payment customer and subscription IDs, plan, and subscription status so your plan and badge reflect what you have paid for.
• Service emails — confirmation, verification and decision emails sent to the address on your account.

Published tool information (name, website, description, logo, owner-verified status) is public by design. Your name and email are not shown publicly.

If you email us

If you write to hello@ailistingjungle.com, we receive whatever you include (your email address and message) and use it only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation.

Cookies and similar storage

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies. The types of cookies the site can set are below. For the specific cookies and providers involved, contact us. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; browsing keeps working, though votes will not be remembered and owners cannot stay signed in.

If we later add advertising to the empty areas of our pages, we will update this section and the cookie list before it goes live.

How we use information

• To run the site and keep it secure, including preventing spam, bots and vote manipulation.
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
• To operate the owner programme: verify ownership, review listings, show plans and badges, process subscriptions and send service emails.
• To respond to messages sent to us.
• To meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting records.

Service providers

AI Listing Jungle relies on third parties that process data under their own privacy policies as well as this one:

• Hosting and infrastructure — serves the site and keeps request logs.
• Database and authentication — stores site data, owner accounts and uploaded files.
• Analytics — usage statistics on public pages.
• Payments — processes owner plan subscriptions.
• Security — bot protection on sign-in and sign-up forms.
• Email delivery — sends account and service emails.

Some of these providers are based in or process data in the United States and other countries. We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the site and its users.

How long we keep it

• Analytics data is kept according to our analytics providers’ retention settings.
• Tool view and click counters are kept as daily totals with no personal data.
• Vote records are kept until the vote is removed.
• Owner account data is kept while your account is open. Closing the account deletes your claims, article drafts, edit history and plan record, cancels your subscription and deletes your sign-in. Published articles and tool listings may remain on the site as ordinary content; ask us if you want them removed.
• Billing records may be kept by our payment processor and by us for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to handle your request.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Owners can edit their details and close their account from the owner area. For anything else, contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can also opt out of analytics by blocking cookies or using your browser’s privacy settings.

Children

AI Listing Jungle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and the “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision.
