What Is Motion?
Motion is an AI-powered scheduling and task management app, with pricing that became notably less transparent starting January 2026 — the website no longer prominently displays prices, and rates have changed multiple times through 2025-2026. As of July 23, 2026, the Pro AI plan costs $29/seat monthly ($19/seat/month billed yearly), while Business AI runs $49/seat monthly ($29/seat/month billed annually); separate "AI Employees" tiers range from $49/user/month (Starter) up to $599/month (Plus) for team plans.
A genuinely important trial detail worth understanding before signing up: Motion offers only a 7-day trial and requires entering card details upfront — there's no card-free trial period, meaning users need to actively cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged. Reviewers consistently describe the pricing as steep, especially for single users, given that even entry plans push toward annual billing commitments.
It's aimed at individuals and teams wanting AI-powered scheduling and task automation, with the reduced pricing transparency since January 2026 and the requirement to enter card details for even a short 7-day trial meaning prospective users should carefully verify current rates directly and set a reminder to cancel if not continuing past the trial.
