What Is Splash?
Splash is an AI music generation platform for creating original songs and remixes from text prompts, having evolved from its earlier standalone Splash Pro beatmaker app (now retired) toward voice-controlled music creation — Splash Music now lets users craft original songs with their voice through the Splash Music Skill on Alexa-enabled devices, in collaboration with Amazon, alongside continued web, mobile, and Roblox integration. The platform operates on a freemium model, focusing generative technology on popular digital genres (hyperpop, EDM, glitch, phonk, trap, lo-fi, hip-hop) using proprietary samples and AI models.
Its genuinely distinctive platform reach — spanning Roblox, Alexa, mobile, and web — combined with commercial-clean licensing and named vocal personas is a real differentiator from competitors focused solely on a standalone web or app experience, positioning Splash specifically within gaming and voice-assistant ecosystems rather than just traditional music production software.
It's aimed at digital creators wanting AI-generated music specifically in popular contemporary genres (hyperpop, EDM, trap, lo-fi) with unusually broad platform reach across gaming (Roblox) and voice assistants (Alexa), with the evolution from the retired standalone Splash Pro app toward this multi-platform, voice-controlled approach reflecting a genuine strategic pivot worth understanding — anyone remembering the earlier Splash Pro beatmaker specifically should know that app has been retired in favor of this broader, more integrated Splash Music experience.
