What Is StarryAI?
StarryAI is an AI art generator app giving users full ownership of created artworks, available on iOS and Android. A genuinely significant change occurred sometime before May 2026: the free tier was removed entirely — where StarryAI previously allowed up to 5 free daily artworks without watermarks, plans now start at $12/month with no free trial, scaling to $28/month or $76/month (annual billing available, with the $12/month plan running $144/year).
This removal of the free tier is worth understanding clearly for anyone remembering StarryAI's earlier reputation as a free-daily-credit art generator — that positioning no longer applies, and prospective users should budget for at least $12/month with no way to test the platform before paying, a meaningfully different value proposition than the app's historical free-tier reputation might suggest.
It's aimed at users wanting AI-generated art with full ownership rights of created artworks, with the important caveat that the free tier has been completely removed — anyone expecting the free daily credits StarryAI was previously known for should know that's no longer available, and evaluating the $12/month entry tier requires committing to payment without a trial period first.
