What Is Cutout.pro?
Cutout.Pro provides AI-powered background removal, image upscaling, and video background removal through a credit-based pricing system, with subscriptions starting around $5-6/month for roughly 40-80 credits (background removal costs 1 credit) and pay-as-you-go options for occasional use without a subscription. Video background removal is priced separately at $0.15 per second of processing, supporting resolutions up to 4K and file sizes up to 2GB — a meaningful capability beyond simple photo background removal that many competitors don't offer.
Its credit-based structure gets more cost-effective at volume: per-credit pricing runs as high as $2.99 for smaller credit packs down to roughly $0.99 per image at high volume, with pay-as-you-go (no subscription) users paying up to $0.499 per credit — meaning regular users benefit meaningfully from committing to a subscription rather than paying per-use. Five free credits are available to test image quality on actual photos before committing to a paid plan.
It's aimed at users needing both photo and video background removal, with the video processing capability specifically differentiating it from simpler photo-only background removal tools. See our Image tools directory for comparable tools like Cleanup.pictures for photo-only needs.
