Pros & Cons

Notion Mail

  • No data loss during the transition — all mail already lives in the connected Gmail account
  • Was included within standard Notion pricing with no separate fee while active
  • The standalone Notion Mail inbox is being fully retired as of September 22, 2026
  • Users lose the dedicated Notion-integrated inbox interface, needing to switch to Gmail directly
  • No continued path forward as an active standalone product

Akiflow

  • Genuinely reduces the need to check multiple apps for a full task picture
  • AI scheduling suggestions account for existing calendar commitments
  • Useful daily-planning habit once fully adopted
  • Value depends entirely on integration coverage matching your actual tool stack
  • Requires adopting a new daily-planning habit to get full value
  • Less useful if most tasks already live in a single tool
