What Is Evidence?
Evidence is a code-based business intelligence tool: you write SQL and Markdown and publish reports. The official Evidence Cloud pricing page, per search, lists a Team plan at $2,500 a month for unlimited users with a 30-day trial, and custom Enterprise pricing adding SSO, row-level access rules and self-hosted deployment. A webclaw.io extract dated August 28, 2026 matches the $2.5K Team figure.
The third-party listings conflict and are mostly outdated. An older Evidence blog post, about 1,136 days old, describes a free Starter plan and a $500-a-month Team plan, which is superseded. Apis.io describes a free MIT-licensed open-source framework and a per-seat Team tier at $15 per user a month with 1,000 AI credits per user, which does not match the official page. Modern-datatools lists unmapped figures, and Capterra and Software Advice list $40 to $250 monthly plans with visits limits that seem to describe a different product. The open-source core appears free and self-hostable, and apis.io says it is MIT-licensed, but I could not confirm that from Evidence's own site, so check the GitHub repository.
