What Is Jules?
Jules is Google's asynchronous AI coding agent that works on your GitHub repositories. Jules' own pages, read directly, show no prices. They list three tiers by usage: the base Jules plan with 15 daily tasks over a rolling 24 hours, 3 concurrent tasks and Gemini 2.5 Pro, Jules in Pro with 100 daily tasks, 15 concurrent and higher access to the latest model starting with Gemini 3 Pro, and Jules in Ultra with 300 daily tasks, 60 concurrent and priority access. The docs say Pro and Ultra are included as benefits of the Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra plans, so pricing sits with those Google plans, which the pages do not price, and the page does not call the base tier free. Paid access currently needs an individual Gmail account, business and Workspace accounts are not yet supported, users must be 18 or older and limits are not shared across a family plan.
The workflow starts when you pick a repo and branch. Jules clones it to a cloud VM, drafts a plan, then shows a diff and opens a pull request, and you can assign work by labelling a GitHub issue jules. It runs on the web at jules.google with GitHub integration. When you hit the daily limit the new task button is disabled. The docs say these offerings will evolve, and the usage-limits page looks current, so I saw no sign of discontinuation. Check the live Google AI plan price before subscribing, as it is not shown here.
Jules suits developers who want to hand off bug fixes and features and review the results later. Compare Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Claude Code. Browse the AI Agents & Automation tools directory for more.
