What Is Fusion 360?
Autodesk Fusion, still widely called Fusion 360, is cloud CAD, CAM and PCB design software. Autodesk's UK page says Fusion for personal use is a limited, free version for qualifying users who earn under $1,000 a year and work on home-based, non-commercial projects. A vagon.io guide dated August 2026 says freelancers and commercial users normally need a paid subscription, and that approved physical-product startups can get a paid three-year Startup entitlement.
Paid prices are mostly consistent. Vagon (checked August 11, 2026) lists $85 a month or $680 a year in the US plus a three-year option at $2,040, and Vendr's 2026 list prices also show $680 per seat annually. Subger lists $545 a year or $70 a month, which looks out of step. Autodesk runs a limited-time offer taking 50% off a one-year personal-use subscription, and the plan auto-renews at the full price unless cancelled. No 2026 source confirmed whether generative design is in the base subscription or an extension, and Vendr notes it often needs extra tokens, so treat that as unverified.
Fusion suits makers, product designers and small manufacturers. Compare Unity, Substance 3D and Rokoko. Browse the 3D & Games tools directory for more.
