What Is Lawdroid?
LawDroid is a legal technology company that builds AI tools and chatbots for legal services. Its founder and CEO, Tom Martin, created LawDroid Copilot, a GPT-based assistant for research, drafting, brainstorming and document summarisation, launched in January 2023 and out of beta in February 2024. At the 2023 launch it did not integrate directly with any legal research database. Martin also launched LawDroid Builder, a no-code platform for creating custom AI agents.
A February 2024 press release said pricing and a free trial were available on the company site, but no current 2026 price was found, so check lawdroid.com/copilot. A 2026 podcast listing features Martin talking about legal tech, but gave no product details. Because Copilot is a general assistant rather than a citator-backed research tool, lawyers should verify outputs and legal citations before relying on them.
