Pricing in 2026 uses two billing currencies, and sources disagree on which features use which. Several sources say AI Credits began April 1, 2026 at a flat $2.00 per credit with global routing or $2.20 pinned to a home region, applying to Cortex Agents, Cortex Code and Snowflake Intelligence regardless of edition. Cortex AI Functions in SQL, such as AI_COMPLETE, are said by most sources to still bill in edition-priced Snowflake credits, while one aggregator says AI Functions, Search, Agents and the REST API all bill in AI Credits.
