What Is Mercer Mettl?
Mercer Mettl is an online assessment and proctoring platform used for hiring and examinations. Software Advice describes automated webcam and microphone monitoring for auto-invigilation, live proctoring by human proctors for high-stakes exams, and recorded review for lower-stakes exams. It also mentions a secure exam browser that disables other browsers, tabs, search engines and ports, plus facial recognition and a three-point candidate authentication system.
No 2026 price is published. A GetApp Canada listing describes a usage-based model with a free trial but no figures, and TrustRadius says pricing is customised to the requirement, points to mettl.com/pricing, and notes a free trial and no entry-level setup fee. Software Advice lists pricing on request. Because the cost depends on how many assessments and which proctoring mode you need, you should get a quote based on your candidate or exam volume.
Mercer Mettl suits employers hiring at scale, universities and certification bodies that need secure remote testing. Compare Criteria Corp, TestGorilla and HackerRank. Browse the HR & Recruiting tools directory for more.
