What Is Gainsight?
Gainsight is a customer success platform with AI features. According to an October 2026 company release carried by CMSWire, Gainsight is moving Gainsight CS customers from per-seat licensing to value-based pricing tied to ARR and the number of customers managed, with Staircase AI included and no charge for MCP access, and the model is available next year. The company also describes Atlas, an AI-native services business, as managing more than $75 million of customer ARR in long-tail renewals, with Agent Studio in beta. Those are the vendor's own claims.
Current pricing is not published. Gartner says it depends on users or seats and the level of features, and Capterra says contact the vendor. Third-party estimates are wide and unofficial: one puts enterprise contracts at $25,000 to $250,000 or more a year, and a competitor's blog cites an average of $87,000 a year plus $35,000 to $75,000 for implementation. Vista Equity Partners took a majority stake in November 2020 in a deal valued at about $1.1 billion.
Gainsight suits mid-market and enterprise B2B companies with dedicated customer success teams. Compare ChurnZero, Vitally and Totango. Browse the Sales & Revenue tools directory for more.
